New Year's Eve...

...and New Year's Day

This New Year's takes the cake for the most monumental New Year's of my young (relatively) life. I left my safety net in Seattle on December 26th and drove my puppy and all of my belongings down to Southern California for a fresh start.

My bf, M, is originally from a small town in San Diego county and longed to return to the sun. After a painful year, I finally relented and made the move.

I am now beginning to settle in my new home...a desireable beach town in North San Diego County and, minus our lack of furniture, am enjoying my new surroundings. Take today for example...I began the year by drinking mimosas while laying in the sun by our pool. Glorious seeing as it has been raining 24/7 in Seattle. (Full Disclosure: I might have gotten a little too much sun and am currently sporting more of a red than bronze glow, but it will turn to a nice tan, right?)

I am not entirely sure what this blog will become. Likely a place to post thoughts, images, whatever catches my fancy. Mostly I am hoping that it will be a way to keep my parents back in Seattle feeling connected to my life. So, here's to the unknown, the adventures to come, success, love, and happiness in this new year!
