The past two days have been bad missing-Brian-wise. I just keep thinking about really gruesome things that I'll spare you from. Just now I pulled in to the grocery store parking lot behind a car that had "Welcome Home Daddy" written in red, white and blue surrounded by stars. I lost it. I didn't cry, I just froze and couldn't even park the car. It breaks me to know Brian won't ever have that in his life.

Lola's New Toy

An empty milk carton. Yep.

I think Alessandra Ambrosio (Victoria's Secret) model is gorgeous, but can someone please explain to me why her legs are ten shades darker than her face?

I should be doing a morning workout, but sat down down on the couch and found myself with a Lola on my lap.

It was a great weekend...nothing even remotely exciting happened, but Mike and I just had a lot of fun just being around each other. I even had a breakthrough as I was falling asleep last night...I have somebody in my life who actually loves me unconditionally, who wants to stand by me every step of the way. Somebody who truly sees my soul, who sees beauty that runs deeper than the surface. Somebody who I love, admire, who makes me laugh, dries my tears, will take care of me and work to be happy with me forever.

I think that realization was a step in the right stop-freaking-out-over-committment direction.

At good old Jiffy Lube (which I discovered is conveniently down the street from me) getting my oil changed at 7:45. A little oil light I didn't know existed on my car started flashing yesterday evening when I started driving home from work. Uh oh. I decided not to waste any time since said oil light had never previously appeared. I think I'll treat the car to a car wash and full tank of gas (okay, the gas part is a necessity) afterwards.

Goooooo DAWGS!

We just won the first round of the NCAA tournament. No biggie, we were down fifteen and came back against a Big East team which means it looks like Mike and I will be driving up to San Jose on Saturday for round two!

I'm having a hard time focusing at the moment. All I can think about is Brian. I (stupidly) looked at his facebook page which people still write on and it hit like a wave. The past year in general has gone by so fast, I want to rewind time and pause it...I'm not ready to move forward yet.

This weekend was pretty good...I layed out in the sun yesterday (and got burnt...whoops!) and then played tennis with Mike. Or, rather, I re-learned how to play tennis. I still remember some things even though I haven't played in 12 years. God, that's half my life ago. Can I please slow down?

After tanning and tennis I went and saw Alice in Wonderland with my friend Jenn. It was good...saw it in 3D. I am always reluctant to see movies in which Johnny Depp looks weird and/or unattractive because I'm afraid it will lessen my adoration. Oh well. The end of the movie terrified me. A butterfly flies out of the screen into the audience. Um, hello, terrified of butterflies right here. Time to get over that one.

Back to work...just needed to write down how I'm feeling.

I haven't been blogging because I have been working A LOT. Quite frankly, I need the money. Also, the girl who has been training me along with another woman are out on vacation so I'm attempting to do the job of at least the one who has been training me along with a few of the other woman's daily tasks. All of course without making a single mistake so that I can further prove myself.

The good news is that I had my monthly meeting with my big boss last week and he said I was getting rave reviews. I spoke to the CFO earlie in the week and he said the same thing so...I'll be continuing to work my ass of!

I spent Saturday attempting to relax and will hopefully today to do the same only today it will be by the pool! It's finally sunny on a weekend, so I'll get to lay out (while doing weeks worth of laundry of course).

Off to get things done!

Adore This Wall

Why Doesn't My Hair Look Like This?

Oh yeah, because I don't have a hair stylist doing my hair before runway shows every day. I love the length, volume and styling.

Ahhh Paris, Je T'aime.

Non-Matching Mirrors...Interesting...?

Love the Striped Table Cloth

I haven't been the best little blogger this week. I've been busy at work learning, learning, learning and working at least 10 hour days when time out for lunch is factored in. The paychecks at the end of the week are worth it though!

The big news this week is that Mike finally heard about his job at TaylorMade! He's a Level Three Credit Specialist (top level), so moving up the ladder shouldn't be difficult. He is making a decent salary and will also get a 10% bonus at the end of the year. It's strange...neither of us were as excited as we thought we'd be since we had gone through so much waiting. It had been such a rollercoaster, particularly for Mike, that when we finally got the news it was like "FINALLY". But, it feels good knowing that he will be doing what he moved down here to do in the first place and that the move was worth it now that we both have full-time, stable, well-paying jobs.
