A Look Ahead

This coming week:
Send as much money to the IRS as I can. I have payments of $500 due to Social Security and $680 to the IRS respectfully. I will include sweet little notes about how I will send further payments once I receive my April 16 paycheck. I am hoping the sweet little notes will warm somebody's heart and convince them not to charge me a late fee since the additional payments are only going to be postmarked one day late.

April 16:
Rush to the bank as soon as I get my paycheck, send off remaining money to the IRS and get them off my back until my June payments are due.

April 23:
Originally Mike and I planned to go to Vegas with some friends because he got an amazing deal on a room at the Mirage. Split between us we'd be paying about $25 a night. We'd also be driving, which makes for a much cheaper trip to Vegas. But...I may be going to Vegas the next weeked (see below) and Mike may be playing in a work golf tournament, so instead of Vegas it looks like I'm going to Stagecoach, an outdoor COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL with my friend Jenn. It's two hours away and is basically the Sasquatch of country music. We are only going Saturday because there's no way we're camping with all those country fans. We are going to end up seeing Keith Urban (yessss!), Sugarland, Phil Vassar (and about a dozen others, those are just ones I know). I was a country fan my senior year of high school and a little throughout college but am completely out of touch, so it should be...interesting. It will undoubtedly be a Bud Light, cowboy hat, denim and plaid filled experience.

May 2-3:
Most likely Vegas with Seattle friends Seth and Izzy, Seth's brother Ian and his girlfriend, and me. I'm only considering it because Ian, his girlfriend and I will drive together (they live in San Diego too) and we will most likely get a deal on a really nice suite. Honestly, odds are I won't go. I don't love Vegas to begin with and, while fun, I'm not sure I want to go without Mike. Weird.

May 22-23:
Seattle for the dedication of Brian's rope course at Hamilton. I can't even begin to think about it, especially the emotions that are going to accompany that day. So, I won't.

Alright, off to Rite-Aid for the aforementioned hair color.
